"european playwork association (e.p.a.), an INGYO based in Hamburg with a network of partners in Europe and beyond plays a vital role in the EU Youth Strategy, advocating for disadvantaged youth and equal rights, addressing social and economic issues such as poverty, inequality, discrimination and social exclusion. e.p.a. coordinates an EU-wide informal network of partner organisations, working with young people with fewer opportunities, special needs, minority backgrounds and refugees in mostly disadvantaged communities, facing similar challenges, sharing similar visions and hopes. With it's competences, expertise and capacities, e.p.a. is supporting sustainable partnerships and collaborations between those partners for many decades. It is vital to create safer spaces where smaller organisations and independent groups of young people can actively participate and experience an European dimension. In the network, e.p.a. is driving co-creation, is initiating and facilitating collaborative development of policy recommendations and is ensuring the success of shared initiatives across the continent. Through non-formal learning activities such as International Youth Exchanges, Seminars and Multiplier events etc., e.p.a. cares for the needs of disadvantaged young people and actively engages with stakeholders and authorities. e.p.a. works to build bridges and creates spaces for constructive dialogue between young people and policy-makers. With this project, e.p.a. aims to address the impacts of socio-political and economic changes on the lives of young people, fostering European civil society cooperation in a democratic manner. This proposal is closely aligned with e.p.a. and EU Youth Policy objectives, focusing on Inclusion, Diversity and Participation in Democratic Life and embodies the principles of ""engage, connect and empower""."
