DREIHAUS Serial 3D Printed Housing Project

The DREIHAUS development in Heidelberg, Germany, is Germany's first serial 3D printed housing project. It consists of three multi-unit buildings providing a total of 21 residential units with living spaces ranging from 46 m² to 89 m². The project used COBOD's concrete 3D printing technology, enabling faster and more cost-efficient construction. The largest building's walls were printed in 26 working days using COBOD's BOD2 printer, with a team of 2-3 operators controlling the process. The design allows parallel printing and concrete slab pouring, reducing construction time by around 30%. The project also incorporates carbon-captured net-zero cement and other low carbon footprint materials to reduce CO₂ emissions.
