Drinking Water Supply Enhancement in Non-Urban Assembly Segments of Karnataka

planned

The Karnataka state government announced a funding of Rs 1 crore for each non-urban assembly segment to address drinking water scarcity. Committees chaired by respective MLAs will prepare action plans and submit proposals for water-supply works. The government is prioritizing water storage in reservoirs, lakes, and tanks to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply. Additionally, efforts are being made to clear Forest Department hold-ups on irrigation and drinking water projects, and to ensure underground drinking water pipelines are unobstructed.
