Because of this temporary removal, the deadline has been extended to 11:59 pm U.S.A East Coast Time to allow applicants additional time. The application kit is now added in SAMS Domestic and outlines for all applicants what documents are mandatory and what documents are optional during the uploading and submission process. The temporary removal also resulted in a duplicate notice being posted for users applying via grants.gov. DRL STRONGLY advises application before 5:00 pm U.S.A.East Coast Time on January 12 via SAMS Domestic (https://mygrants.service-now.com) or via grants.gov funding opportunity number SFOP0003408 and/or Legacy Number DRLA-DRLAQM-18-025. Applications submitted after January 12 will not be accepted. Please contact ColburnA@state.gov with any questions before the close of business (5:00 pm U.S.A. East Coast Time) Friday, January 12th. The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for projects that support efforts to bring about a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Yemen. This includes the demobilization and reintegration of combatants, including child soldiers. DRLs objective is to support and empower local Yemeni efforts to address the recruitment and use of child soldiers by non-governmental armed actors and/or government security forces in Yemen and, where appropriate, support implementation of the May 2014 UN Action Plan to End Recruitment and Use of Children by Armed Force. Projects should target recruitment and demobilization efforts in local communities.
