The rapid evolution of remote-controlled aviation and the advent of European legislation will make it easier for drone pilots to specialise and extend their geographical scope across borders. This will bring a wave of disruption to many sectors and, with it, safer jobs, more accurate results, faster and more ecological responses and a solution for many jobs suffering recruitment shortages. There will also be tailor-made solutions, responding to new economic trends and creating jobs for hardware and software development. There are a multitude of possibilities, in agriculture, logistics, security and rescue services, healthcare, inspection, construction, maintenance, insurance, etc. The two federations want to bring together pilots and academic bodies from different sectors to share knowledge, experience and networks, leading to new applications and collaborations across borders.
