The plant will provide 615MW of 24/7 carbon-free energy to power Google's cloud and AI infrastructure in Iowa. The plant is expected to come back online in 2029 pending regulatory approvals. NextEra Energy will acquire full ownership of the plant and has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Google. |
