Duck Island Data Center Gas Metering Pilot Project

Hilcorp Alaska has applied for approval to use non-custody transfer meters at the Duck Island unit to measure natural gas used to generate power for a third-party data center. The pilot project is small scale, using 1.3 million standard cubic feet per day of gas, lasting 4-5 years, and aims to monetize Alaska's stranded natural gas resource. The project involves using existing power turbine gas measurement venturi meters combined with power measurement for custody transfer of gas to the data center for royalty payment purposes.
