Description | The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) is set to approve a 20-year master plan to dramatically expand Dulles International Airport. The plan includes adding a fifth runway, expanding concourses, increasing the number of gates from 130 to 154 by 2045 to accommodate 45 million annual passengers, improvements to the Aerotrain system, and development of new concourses E/F and G/H. Additional concepts include a new entertainment venue, hotel, mixed-use retail and office development, cargo facilities, parking garages, and updated roadways. |
