The project involves the development, construction and operation of 36.8 MW Duna and Huambos wind farms, located in Chota, province of Cajamarca in Peru. The produced energy will be sold for a period of 20 years to the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru, at a price of between $ 37.7 and $ 36.8 per MWh. The estimated annual production is more than 165 thousand MWh. The public auction was won by the sponsor Grenergy Renovanles SA (Spain) and in addition Sinia Renovables, wholly-owned by Banco Sabadell, enters with a 10% stake in both farms The Latin American Development Bank (CAF) and the Instituto Oficial de Crédito (ICO) commit $ 40 million.
