Description | In April 2009, the Singapore based China Water Holdings PTE (a subsidiary of Beijing Herocan Environmental Engineering Tech Co. Ltd) was granted an agreement to operate a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 60,000 cubic meters per day in Duyun City, Guizhou Province. The project was procured via competitive bidding, but no information was publicly available on the bid criteria and the number of bidders. China Water Holdings owned 100% of the project and was expected to operate the facility for 30 years before transferring it back to the local government. The total investment to acquire the facilities was RMB 75 million (US$ 10.73 million). |
