Description | The Downtown Bellevue Tunnel runs 1,985 linear feet and was excavated using the sequential excavation method. It is one of multiple projects that complete the 14-mile-long East Link Light Rail Extension from downtown Seattle to Redmond, Washington. The project includes tunnel pre-support lattice with shotcrete lining, groundwater control, waterproofing, final concrete lining, tunnel walkway, center dividing wall, embeds and conduits, and a mid-tunnel access shaft. The scope of work includes 585 linear feet of soil nail wall support of excavation and a 325 linear feet of permanent soil nail wall.
