Description | The EAA Inflow Pump Station is a nine-pump facility designed to move about 3 billion gallons of water a day from Lake Okeechobee south into a massive new reservoir as part of the Everglades restoration efforts. The project aims to reduce harmful discharges that cause pollution and algae blooms, improve water quality, and support the Everglades ecosystem. It is part of a larger $3 billion EAA Reservoir system including a 10,000-acre reservoir and a 6,500-acre Stormwater Treatment Area to store and clean up to 78 billion gallons of water. |
