Description | Echo-Scan Limited (ESL or the “Company”) is a medical diagnostic company located in Nigeria which has been operating since 1999, and has established a network of 7 medium-sized diagnostic centers (DCs), with an average of 300,000 patients per annum. The diagnostic centers predominantly operate on an outpatient basis. Three branches are located in Abuja (including the heart center), with two branches located in Lagos, one in Asaba and one in Kaduna. The Company intends to expand its network to 40 DICs over the next 4 years, initially in Nigeria and thereafter across Sub-Saharan Africa.IFC is considering an equity and mezzanine investment of up to approximately USD 20m to support Phase 1 of this scale up process, which will involve adding 13 DCs to the existing network over a 2 year period (“The Project”), at a cost of USD111m. |
