East 72nd Street Cul-de-Sac Renovation

planned

A plan to renovate the East 72nd Street cul-de-sac, a quiet, tree-lined East River overlook, including replacing the long-neglected granite blocks with concrete pavers and upgrading the overlook's materials to standard materials. The project aims to address the disrepair of the site, which has loose paving stones and worn benches, but faces opposition from residents who prefer the original granite pavers for their aesthetic value.
