Description | The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project aims to transport Uganda’s crude oil from Kabaale to the Chongoleani peninsula near Tanga in Tanzania. The project has achieved a significant milestone with the successful closing of its first tranche of external financing, demonstrating confidence from investors and financial partners. The pipeline will span 1,443 kilometers and is expected to have a capacity of 246,000 barrels of crude oil per day upon completion. |
