East Bay Women's Cancer Resource Center Expansion

planned

The East Bay Women's Cancer Resource Center (WCRC) is undergoing a major expansion to broaden its services across the East Bay area. This expansion is supported by a $2.5 million grant from the Action for Women's Health fund, aimed at improving women's mental and physical health globally. The expansion will focus on increasing service capacity, deepening navigation services for Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, and broadening wellness offerings. It will also target communities with higher cancer rates and fewer services, such as Antioch, Pittsburg, Bay Point, and parts of Oakland. The grant will support free counseling, patient navigation, support groups, wellness classes, and other assistance for women and caregivers impacted by cancer.
