Description
Description | Channel downcutting threatens to expose 20 linear meters of sanitary infrastructure that is crossing beneath the East Don River near Bayview Avenue and Steeles Avenue East in the City of Markham. The depth of cover over the sanitary main is 0.7m. A preliminary geomorphic study is required to assess the extent of the problem and develop concept design alternatives for sanitary protection works. This study will provide a better understanding of our local water resources and enable innovative designs to reduce sediment inputs into local waterways, improve habitat and provide infrastructure protection. |
