Description | The East Pye Solar project is a proposed 500MW solar PV power plant with a co-located battery energy storage system (BESS). It includes the development of a new National Grid substation and works to existing 400kV overhead lines, along with biodiversity enhancements. The project is classified as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) and is located near Long Stratton in South Norfolk, UK. The developer plans to submit a Development Consent Order (DCO) application in winter 2025, with construction expected to start in late 2027 or early 2028 and operate for 60 years. |
