Description
Description | The city of San Antonio and Provident Realty Advisors have been attempting for nearly a decade to develop an affordable apartment complex on a former Friedrich Air Conditioning site on East Commerce Street. The project plans include 358 loft apartments, half of which are expected to have reduced rent. Despite demolition in 2023 and $1.7 million in city funds for demolition, the site remains empty due to delays caused by environmental contamination, market conditions, inflation, and rising interest rates. |
