Description | The Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management (OREM) has completed demolition and soil remediation at the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP), transforming it from a former uranium enrichment complex into a privately owned industrial park. The site now hosts over 25 businesses with a projected capital investment of $7 billion and an expectation to generate 1,700 new private sector jobs. Cleanup efforts have also enabled the siting of the nation's first nuclear innovation hub and have facilitated new infrastructure development at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Y-12 National Security Complex. |
