The proposed investment involves IFC’s subscription of THB62.7 Million in the inaugural Blue Bond issued by East Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited (East Water or the Company) on August 18, 2025.  The total issuance size was THB620 Million.  IFC’s subscription will be used to refinance some of the company’s existing fundings.  The refinancing will be for three existing water supply pipelines constructed between 2015 to 2022 that extend for around 550km, including: i) Pluak Daeng, Rayong (Nongplalai Reservoir) to Sriracha pipeline; ii) Chonburi (Nongkho Reservoir) to Laemchabang, Chonburi and iii) Maptaphut, Rayong to Banchang, Rayong and Sattahip, Chonburi. These pipelines supply water to domestic and industrial clients within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) within Chachoengsao, Chon Buri and Rayong provinces.  All pipelines are buried along existing road rights of way within the provinces.  There are five water treatment plants (two industrial and three domestic) and two water pumping facilities operated by East Water that are associated facilities to the pipeline projects.
