The transnational East West Gate project will, for the first time, provide access to international traffic exchange points (Frankfurt, Berlin, Prague) and access to cloud services of the largest providers of this type of solutions in the world (Google, Microsoft, etc.) to B2B and B2C customers from Poland and Ukraine at attractive affordable prices, including wholesale offer. Netia Group SA, the applicant, will bring its expertise in digital telecoms services and work with a trusted provider for DWDM expertise. The objective of the project is constructing a DWDM backbone infrastructure based on the ASON architecture in selected nodes in Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland and Ukraine and connected with Netia SA’s existing infrastructure. This will enable the provision of services in Ukraine, as well as the connection of nodes located in the EU with Ukraine and have a direct impact on the increase in communication possibilities and capacity both between EU countries and Ukraine. The target markets are the Polish and Ukrainian SMEs which need affordable access to international traffic exchange points and cloud services to contribute to and profit from acceleration of the digital transformation.
