Description | Development of a 394-MW wind-solar hub with storage to power Northern Star Resources Ltd’s gold mining operations in Western Australia. The project includes 256 MW of wind, 138 MW of solar farms, and a 138-MW/300-MWh battery energy storage system. Additionally, a 120 MW thermal generation plant will be built and operated to provide backup power. The project has a 25-year power purchase agreement and is expected to deliver power for around 70% of the mining operations. Commissioning is due to begin in mid-2027. |
