The objective of the action is to support the European Consumer Centre Austria hosted by the designated body Verein für Konsumenteninformation (VKI) to better enforcement of consumer rights by enabling consumers to exercise their rights in a cross border context. The main objective of the ECC Network is providing information and assistance to consumers to help them exercise their rights and obtain access to appropriate dispute resolution, including out of court online resolution schemes as described in its six Vademecum objectives: Case-handling and consumer assistance Supporting Consumer Redress and Enforcement Communication, general information and promotion Active participation in Network activities Cooperation with Stakeholders Ensuring a uniformly high quality standardised service ECC Austria will be equipped to assist consumers in understanding and exercising their rights under evolving EU consumer legislation, act as a first point of contact for cross-border consumer issues, and provide valuable data on market trends and trader malpractices to support enforcement and policy development in line with the EU’s digital and green priorities. The grants shall cover the activities of ECC Austria in 2026 and 2027.
