Description
Description | "The European financing of the European Consumer Centres Network implements the Single Market Programme (SMP Consumers) and more specifically action 2.3 of the SMP Consumers 2025-2027 Work Programme: ""Action grants to the designated bodies to host the European Consumer Centres"". The main objective of the ECC-Net is providing information and assistance to consumers to help them exercise their rights and obtain access to appropriate dispute resolution, including out of court online resolution schemes as described in its Vademecum 6 objectives. ECC Estonia has been actively operating since 2005 as a part of European Consumer Centre Network (ECC-Net). Over the past decades, the growing trend of cross-border shopping within EU has underscored the increasing relevance and demand for the service provided by the ECC Estonia. With 20 years of experience, ECC Estonia has developed extensive expertise in facilitating the enforcement of consumer rights, ensuring that consumers can effectively exercise their rights in cross-border transactions. ECC Estonia's activities focus on informing consumers about their rights when purchasing goods and services across borders, providing advice and assistance where necessary, and helping them fully benefit from the internal market. The centre provides free advice and practical assistance to consumers, enabling them to resolve disputes and assert their rights more effectively. In particular, ECC Estonia is committed to achieving the following key objectives: 1. Case handling and consumer assistance 2. Supporting consumer redress and enforcement 3. Communication, general information, and promotion 4. Active participation in network activities 5. Cooperation with stakeholders 6. Ensuring a uniformly high-quality, standardized service" |
