ECIU University aims to become a fully-fledged European university with a hybrid European campus towards 2030. The emphasis of this project is on educational developments based on highly personalised, flexible challenge-based learning pathways with a strong focus on research-based micro-credentials. The educational model serves both students in the partner universities and continuous learners looking for upskilling and reskilling in 21st century skills and competences. In addition, various support mechanisms necessary for a fully-fledged European university will be developed. The ultimate goal is to empower European people and organisations to build open European knowledge-creating teams where societal stakeholders together with learners and academics solve real world challenges. The project has the following objectives: - Supporting learners’ needs: develop and implement support model to capture personal goals and learning needs, receive personalised guidance - Learning opportunities based upon societal needs: create and deliver dynamic portfolio of innovative learning opportunities - Innovative approaches to learning assessment, recognition via micro-credential: develop and support innovative approaches to micro-credentials - Community building: provide integrated community infrastructures and use international mobility to strengthen community building. - Digital eXperience Platform: develop the digital core of ECIU University - Service, support, and user experience: offer unique user experience and support - Capacity and competence development model: ensure skilled capacity for operations - Communication and marketing: ensure sustainable engagement of internal and external stakeholders - Impact and dissemination: maximise the social impact of ECIU University
