Project ECO – EDU BANAT will combine significant experience gained through several projects implemented under the cross-border programs between Romania and Serbia. Right now, in the second decade of the 21st century, preparing our children to be good environmental citizens is some of the most important work any of us can do. It is for our children, and our children’s children, and generations yet to come. It could be our last chance in order to protect environment and to provide clean air, water and soil for the future generations. In that order, we will organize set of trainings for children of different age, on the both sides of the border. Starting with the pre-school children, over elementary school, to the high school youth, we will involve them in interesting, stimulating and motivating trainings, composed not just with the theory, but also with interactive practical activities. In accordance with their age, some of them will use color books, other will develop and analyze the survey, other group will be involved in afforestation, and the oldest group will be engaged in competition. Beside them, bird watchers, sport fishermen and eco-tourists will be also involved in the project. In our previous project, Eco Tamis – new tourism product, implemented in 2017 – 2018 under INTERREG IPA CBC Programme Romania – Serbia, we were defined route on the Tamis shore, which will be now visited by the above mentioned group. Based on the Register of polluters, developed as a part of the project Eco status of Tamis river, implemented under the CBC Programme Romania – Serbia in 2008 – 2010, we will prepare Guidelines for decreasing of pollution along the Tamis shore. During the project Parks for the future, implemented in 2013 under IPA CBC Programme Romania – Serbia, Center for volunteers purchased mobile stage with sound system and lightning equipment which we will use it for organizing concert, as a part of communication activities.
