Main objective : ECO FAB aims to set up a trans-Channel think tank to create theme-based networks which will propose methods of prospecting for projects and schemes involved in eco-renovation and eco-building. This pilot project’s objective is to identify the networks with regard to resources and materials, training and qualifications, professional techniques and job descriptions, policies being developed for accompanying contractors, urban and rural revitalisation in the framework of sustainable development. Main actions : - Organization of the Amblie event: “L’éco-construction en pratique”, aimed to designing and presenting the eco-renovation prototype of a school built in the 50’s. - Organization of the “Eco-Open Houses” event in Brighton, aimed at professionals and general public to promote 15 examples of cutting edge and award winning eco-construction projects. - Organization of the “Pathways to Construction” Hastings event targeted at young people with the aim of interesting them in careers in construction, eco-construction and traditional skills. - Organization of the ECO-fab forum in Amblie and the “Pathways to Construction” forum in Hastings, to promote sustainable development in the building sector.
