Description | Eco Power (Private) Limited developed the 3.0MW Dunsinane small hydropower plant, at Dunsinane. The project company was Dunsinane Power Company Pvt. Ltd. Expected annual production was 12.6GWh. The project consisted of two Pelton turbines of 1,550kW each. According to CDM documentation, project activity commenced in May 2001, usually referring to an initial purchase. The CDM crediting started in January 2007. Turbines were supplied by a Slovenian manufacturer. The generators came from Germany, and the transformer from Sri Lanka. The project applied for UNFCCC CDM financing. Total project cost was ESTIMATED at US$3 million, based on a conservate US$1 million/MW.
