Ecological education of preschool and primary school children: a European approach

In the era of global change, the problems of environmental education are becoming increasingly important. Research on environmental education of the younger generation is paying increasing attention to the need to understand the integration of European cultural identity in a broad sense. The main goal of the project «Ecological education of preschool and primary school children: a European approach» is to prepare future teachers for the theoretical and methodological foundations of the organization of the process of environmental education of preschoolers and primary school children on the basis of European experience. Project goals: to promote the European environmental education experience; to expand the ecological-natural worldview of the population; to educate a humanely conscious generation capable of overcoming ecological crisis; to stimulate future teachers and modern teachers to implement European experience in environmental education of the younger generation; to take responsibility for the state of the environment, compliance with moral and ethical norms and rules of conduct in the natural environment; to establish cooperation between the EU and Ukraine in the field of education and environmental policy. The ideas of the project will be implemented during the teaching of the optional discipline: «Ecological education of preschool and primary school children: a European approach» (Модулі: “Ecological education in Europe”, “Eco-education of preschool children: European context”, “European practices of formation of ecological competence of primary school pupils”,“Organization of out-of-school ecological education of children: European experience”). International conferences, a set of events (webinars, exhibitions, actions, ecological trails, trainings, meetings) aimed at promoting the European experience of environmental education will be held.
