Description

CIRCULAT aims to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions (HEIs) in Chile and Costa Rica to support SMEs, cooperatives and other associative business structures in their transition to circular economy models through digitization and the adoption of innovative technologies. Through cooperation between European and Latin American HEIs, CIRCULAT will promote the integration of the circular economy and digitalization in higher education, preparing teachers, students and business leaders to face the challenges of sustainability. The project consortium brings together prestigious universities, innovation centers and industrial players from Europe and Latin America, ensuring an interdisciplinary approach. The methodology combines applied training, advanced digital tools and financing networks, facilitating the adoption of circular and sustainable business models in SMEs, cooperatives and other key sectors. Expected Results: · Development of six new academic programs specialized in circular economy and digital transformation. · Training of 50+ teachers and 100+ leaders of SMEs, cooperatives and other associative business structures (at least 50% women). · Implementation of 25+ pilot projects that integrate digital technologies into circular business models. · Incubation of 40+ circular business ideas in key sectors such as agribusiness, tourism and manufacturing. · Support to 50+ SMEs in the adoption of circularity and sustainability strategies. · Organization of 6 specialized webinars for universities and companies. · Development of 5 case studies and best practices. · Publication of 16 academic articles. · Participation in at least 8 international congresses on circular economy and digitalization. · Organization of an international conference with 200+ participants to promote collaboration and policy dialogue. · Optimization of a digital platform for environmental impact monitoring and sustainable business decision making.
