Description

Description

This project aims to strengthen the understanding of the European Union integration process and its impact on governance and economic growth in the Western Balkans. It aligns with the Jean Monnet Module objectives by fostering knowledge about EU policies, governance structures, and reforms necessary for accession. Through curriculum development, research, and dissemination activities, the project will address critical gaps in academic training and policy knowledge while engaging key stakeholders in the region. The project has three core objectives. The first is to modernize and align the syllabuses of two Master’s courses, “Advanced Economic Growth and Development” and “European Public Administration,” with EU-focused content. This will ensure that students gain a comprehensive understanding of EU governance, economic reforms, and integration challenges. The updated syllabuses will be implemented in the Master of Science in Economics and Public Administration programs at the University of Vlora, providing students with a solid foundation in EU-related studies. The second objective is to promote the project’s activities and results through dissemination and engagement. Public lectures by experts, round table with policymakers, participation in international conference, and research dissemination through academic publications will ensure maximum visibility and impact. These efforts will engage students, faculty, policymakers, civil society, and the general public, fostering a deeper understanding of the EU integration process and its implications for the Western Balkans. The third objective focuses on high-quality research on the relationship between EU integration, governance, and economic growth.
