Description

Description

Many internally displaced persons from the conflict in eastern Ukraine have not yet found new employment in the host communities. Unemployment makes their socio-economic integration more difficult. The FC measure therefore provides for support for internally displaced persons in setting up a small business. The module objective is to improve the economic independence and thus the living conditions of internally displaced persons and population groups affected by the conflict (who are particularly economically vulnerable). In this way, the project is intended to contribute to socio-economic stability and social cohesion in the host communities (overall objective). In line with the Do No Harm approach, the target group of the measure is both internally displaced persons and other population groups affected by the conflict. Within 24 months, at least 3,350 people are to be supported through training measures and at least 2,025 people are to be supported with financing in setting up a micro-enterprise. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is involved in implementing the measure as the recipient of the funds and sponsor. The submitted audit of EUR 5 million (FZ grant) only covers part of the financing requirement, so that a further EUR 15 million was audited in advance.
