EDA’s Planning Program is one of six economic development assistance programs the agency operates under PWEDA. Under the Planning Program EDA provides assistance to eligible recipients to create regional economic development plans in order to stimulate and guide the economic development efforts of a community or region. As part of the Planning Program, EDA supports Partnership Planning investments to Economic Development Districts (EDDs) to facilitate the development, implementation, revision, or replacement of Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS). Pursuant to its NTA Program, EDA is soliciting applications for an economic development research project to evaluate the effectiveness of EDA’s EDD Partnership Planning Program and to complete an assessment of EDDs’ CEDS documents.
