EDIH-DIGIMAT: Flexible Manufacturing Systems Using Artificial Intelligence

EDIH-DIGIMAT’s vision is more digitalized, productive, and competitive manufacturing sector, with its workforce adapted to this trend. It wants to contribute to sustaining the importance of the manufacturing sector to the Czech GDP, employment level, and exports. To achieve its objectives, EDIH-DIGIMAT proposes a comprehensive, structured program for digitalization of manufacturing companies, starting by raising the awareness, continued education of the companies’ staff, providing advisory and consultancy services to the respective company management levels, through experimenting with the companies at the test rigs. EDIH-DIGIMAT’s consortium builds on a successful first operational DIH in the country – DIGIMAT. It consists of four partners: INTEMAC as a lead partner with its footprint in digital consultancy services, JIC with funding services and business consulting in general, Effectivity serving the industry on their productivity growth journey, and BUT as the largest technology university in the country with a wide spectrum of technical expertise and a wide network of industry partners. To elevate the services offered, the EDIH-DIGIMAT engaged multiple clusters and partner organizations, both domestically and abroad. The array of partners includes also technology providers, domestic as well as foreign EDIH candidates. This approach has been designed to ensure relevance of provided services in time, as well as to increase the depth and breadth of provided services. The EDIH-DIGIMAT is going to be backed by a robust governance model to ensure the proposed plan is going to be executed for the benefit of the targeted manufacturing sector, and the society at large.
