Description | The proposed investment is an up to EUR25m A-Loan to Groupe EDK SA (“EDK Holding”), the holding company of the EDK Group (the “Group”, “EDK”), a Senegalese retail group, to (i) support the expansion of its grocery retail business, Low Price, with majority of stores expected to be located outside of the Dakar region in less served areas with lower income groups (EUR15m in local currency (XOF) equivalent with IDA PSW support), and (ii) refinance part of its existing debt to reduce the number of lenders and improve the capital structure (EUR10m in EUR without IDA PSW support) (“the Project”). |
