Description | The Electricité du Laos (EdL)-Rural Power project will support the second phase of the IDA Rural Electrification Adaptable Loan Program (REP II). The Project involves an up to US$15 million IFC senior loan with up to 9 years maturity with a 2 year grace to partially finance EdL’s 43 Million rural grid expansion, loss reduction and energy efficiency program. The program consists of the expansion of the medium and low voltage distribution network and substations for rural electrification to serve approximately 38300 HH in Southern part of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (LAO PDR). |
