Description | The project involves construction of a 48-inch raw water line from a new intake structure to the water treatment plant, a 36-inch transmission line from the plant to a pump station along Interstate 35, and a utility bridge pipe crossing over the Deep Fork River. It is part of Edmond's long-running effort to boost the capacity of its water treatment plant at 801 S. Post Road, east of Arcadia Lake. The work is financed with loans and grants and aims to increase the plant's capacity from 12 million to 30 million gallons of water per day, allowing the city to phase out or reduce water purchases from Oklahoma City. |
