Education for integral development - URL III

The FC project aims to help reduce the gap in access to university education for the low-income and/or indigenous population in the program area (goal of the FC measure). The project is sponsored by the Jesuit University Rafael Landívar (URL) in Guatemala. The new project includes an extensive poverty-oriented scholarship program for disadvantaged young people, further training for the population, measures to strengthen institutions, in particular to reduce the dropout rate and to optimize the utilization of the regional centers during the week, new construction and equipment of the URL regional center in Jutiapa (Guatemala) and consulting services. The target group is indigenous and poor young people and young adults. The total cost of the project is around EUR 10.470 million. The German FC contribution amounts to EUR 8.435 million. A contribution of around EUR 2.035 million from the URL is planned.
