Description
Description | COSME SGA4 - Proposal period 2020 and 2021 Enterprise Europe Network - Northern Netherlands On average the Dutch economy is expected to grow (approx 2.5% in 2019). In the Northern Netherlands however growth rates are considerably less. This is worsened by recently announced cessation of natural gas production due to earthquakes in parts of our territory. These developments call for support for the Northern Netherlands SME’s to realize economic growth for the region. One means of achieving economic growth is internationalisation. The Enterprise Europe Network consortium for the Northern Netherlands (EEN NN) is active as part of the Network since 2015 and focusses on stimulating internationalisation. The EEN NN consortium currently consists out of four partners, two of which are very well connected to the water, energy and environmental sector, being important innovative sectors for the Northern Netherlands. Two others are more generalistic but hold close ties to the start up ecosystems in the Northern Netherlands, enabling early support for young organizations with scale-up potential. The EEN NN consortium has connected itself to a number of interesting knowledge partners, like several centers of expertise, all Northern Universities, some vocational institutes, governmental bodies and the other Dutch EEN consortium. Most important however are the contacts with local businesses, branche organizations, export clubs etc. EEN NN will use the respective strengths and knowledge of its partners and their respective networks and apply the ‘no wrong door’ principle. EEN NN aims to resolve or substantially reduce the identified constraints and cater to the needs of Northern Netherlands' SMEs, while at the same strenghtening it's position within the Network. All of the actions planned for 2020 and 2021 should lead to more internationalization and thus economic growth for the Northern part of the Netherlands. |
