This proposal, in line with the strategic objectives of COSME/EEN, will address needs and foster competitiveness of SMEs in the Western Marmara region of Turkey by offering services for internationalisation and innovation-capacity enhancement. The WEST-MAR Consortium, which brings together 3 types of organisations – a government body, a chamber of commerce and industry and a technopark, will propose a range of advisory services, information activities (seminars, workshops, trainings) and partnering events designed to attract the attention, interest and support of the local SMEs and stakeholders. The consortium will establish a first communication channel between the SMEs and the EU. The partners are confident that they will, thanks to their understanding of and proximity to the local SMEs, contribute significantly to the competitiveness of the the SMEs and help them to open new markets in the EU and achieve cost savings and job creation with quality innovative products and services.
