The James Bay Eeyou Corporation (JBEC), an Aboriginal non-profit organization (NPO), is proposing the deployment of a vast mobile wireless network in the Eeyou Istchee - James Bay region. This project aims to extend the LTE network of Eeyou Mobility Inc (EMI) to the long access roads that lead to Cree communities through the establishment of a basic LTE network including in particular the development of 19 mobile telecommunications sites, including wired-braced communications towers, interconnecting to the EMI network already operational in the communities. • Many of these sites will be off-grid and will include innovative and reliable systems to provide clean, self-sufficient power. o These stand-alone sites will be equipped with super capacitor batteries, solar panels and back-up propane generators. This project responds to an essential need of Eeyou Istchee and Northern Quebec: • Each year, more than 60,000 vehicles enter or leave the region, but the total number of trips o
