The Eeyou James Bay Company will deploy an extensive wireless mobile network in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region, which will be made available to its subsidiary, Eeyou Mobility Inc. (“EMI”). EMI’s mission is to provide affordable mobile service to residents, ensure coverage for travelers on the region’s roads, and offer service through agents located in each community. Phase 2 will enable mobile coverage across approximately 533 km of roadways. This goal can be achieved with just 16 towers.
