Description

Theppana Wind Farm Company Limited was planning the development of the 7.5MW Theppana wind farm, in Chaiaphum province. Egco acquired 90% of the company. The concept for this project was cleared in the ADB November 2011, and discussed in the management review meeting October 2012. The ADB is currently pursuing an environmental review. Commissioning was expected for third quarter 2013. The equipment supply contract was awarded to Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology (Goldwind) in September 2012, from China. Goldwind was to provide 3 GW109/2500, Permanent Magnet Direct-Drive (PMDD) wind turbines for the wind farm (7.5MW).
