Egypt - Middle Income Countries - Informal Settlements Development Project

The proposed operation is a Middle-Income Country Technical Assistance Fund (MIC-TAF) Grant of Four Hundred Thousand Units of Account (UA 400,000) to finance the ‘Upgrade of Informal Settlements through Multi-faceted Technical Assistance Project’ in Egypt. This is an identified need for support to Informal Settlements Development Fund (ISDF) to build its capacity to help the Government in its transition for better housing in Egypt. The resources will be used directly in enhancing the government’s capacity to handle the challenges posed by the growing number of informal settlements in the country. This MIC-TAF Grant will finance some of the key technical studies needed in preparation for Informal Settlements Development Fund (ISDF) future informal settlements projects. The project will be executed by the ISDF under the Ministry of Housing Utilities and Urban Development.
