Egypt - Upgrading of Industrial Secondary School

The upgrading of industrial secondary school is a sound response to the constraints facing technical education in the Egypt. The project aims to renovate and strengthen technical education, facilitate the integration of school leavers in a modern productive environment, and prepare the necessary broad foundation of technically oriented labour. Indeed, it's initiated in a context where existing technical secondary schools (EST) are not able to meet the needs of the country. They are, in fact, under-equipped and lack qualified teachers. The project, which should be implemented over a period of 40 months, consists of the following four components: (i) Initial Procurement; (ii) Equipment; (iii) Training; and (iv) the Project Implementation Unit (PIU).
