Egypt- Building Capacity and Institutional Strengthening of Ministry of International Cooperation (MOIC)

The present project responds to the urgent need of the Ministry of International Cooperation (MOIC) to launch an institutional program of capacity building to improve the performance of its departments vis-à-vis its many development partners, in terms of coordination / management of the help and mobilization of resources. It aims to transform the MOIC and equip it with the necessary capabilities to manage the financing needs for megaprojects already launched or planned to be implemented. This project will help Egypt to meet the commitments of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness, the Accra Agenda for Action (2008) and the Busan Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation (2011). The project has three interrelated operational components: (i) organizational and institutional strengthening, (ii) improvement of the technical infrastructure of the MOIC, (iii) staff training and skills development that would contribute to improving the effectiveness of the project. ministry in the accomplishment of its missions.
