The demand is expected to grow from 1200 tons to 1544 tons in year 2025. Industrial sewing thread is broadly classified by type of fiber cotton and synthetic. Cotton thread is generally used for cotton fabrics and synthetic thread for synthetic fabrics. In Ethiopia, since cotton fibre is the dominant material most of the thread produce is likely to be from cotton. The total investment requirement is estimated at USD 2.3 million. The plant will create employment opportunities for 150 persons. The plant expects to be in Afar region |
