El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant

under construction

The El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant project involves the construction of a nuclear power station in Egypt, with a focus on localising the manufacturing of electrical systems, equipment, and components. The project includes the production of components for the reactor building's inner containment vessel and the cooling system connections, which are now produced entirely in Egypt. The project aims to increase the share of locally manufactured components and enhance domestic workforce participation, with Egyptian workers making up around 80% of the total workforce. Preparations are underway for the installation of the turbine generator for the first nuclear unit, expected to arrive before the end of the year.
