El Dorado International Airport Expansion Project in Bogotá

The project involves the improvement, expansion and maintenance of the El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, Colombia.The project aims to increase the 46 additional parking spaces to 134, expand the passenger terminal and demolish the old air bridge, build a new terminal on the same site, expand taxiways on the northern runway, and improve access to the airport. The project also includes the construction of a new terminal with a 51% expansion of the passenger terminal area and an expansion of the cargo terminal by 25% of its current capacity. It is planned to build a taxiway parallel to Lima Street, completing the scheme for aircraft transit between the north and south runways, as well as extending the north runway to the west by 845 m and extending the Alfa and Bravo taxiways to the west, which allow connection with the extension of the proposed runway. The passenger and cargo terminal concession has an area of 224,260 sq.m.
